How we made the Red, White, & Blue Torn Paper Wreath Craft

You can see the steps below that we used to make the red, white, and blue torn paper wreath craft.

Step 1: Tear up the Red, white, and Blue paper

You are going to start by tearing up the paper. You can use the big paper and tear off a long piece to give kids. Or you can have the kids do this.

Then you tear it up into smaller pieces. You can do this one at a time or do the colors in advance.

You can see the three different colors in their piles. You can do one color at a time or all the colors at once. We tend to do all the tearing at once.

Step 2: Put Glue on the Paper Plate

Next you are going to put glue on the paper plate. You can put glue on the whole plate or just part of the plate.

We do sections at a time on the plate.

Step 3: Put the Red, White, and Blue Paper on the Paper Plate

You are going to put the pieces of the paper on the glue on the paper plate. There is no wrong and right way to place the paper. You can see we did a mix of the colors all over. Kids might do just a few pieces of the paper that is okay.

Step 4: Keep Covering the Plate with Torn Paper

You are going to repeat step 2 and step 3. You are going to put more glue on and place more paper.
